Oh mercy me! The last few months have been a whirlwind of writing songs, all night recording sessions, editing with our fearless engineer, Alex Cory at Forest Floor Studios and mixing the final product Memorial Day weekend at Prairie Sun Studios in Cotati, CA. We were in the best of hands with our mixing engineer, Matt Wright at Prairie Sun. We can’t wait for you to hear the final product!
In the meantime, here are some photo highlights from the recording and mixing
studio and shots of some of the amazing players who perform on the new album: Greg Stephens (trombone), Ray Green (trumpet), Mylos Sonka (pedal steel), Tom Lucas (banjo uke, banjo), Ray Wilcox (drums), Josh Yenne (pedal steel). Without them we wouldn’t have this amazing album that has somehow been completed!
The Vivants have some big plans in August for a CD release party which we
will be sharing with you all soon once the details have been ironed out.
After being inside all these weeks it’s exciting to get back in the saddle and start performing all these new tunes for you! We will debuting many of them at some of our upcoming summer gigs.
See you on the dance floor!
